Biotech Health Data Governance Lead (AI & Life Sciences)

What You'll Do

• Govern biotech research and clinical trial datasets to ensure accuracy, lineage, and full auditability for scientific analysis and regulatory submissions
• Define and enforce data policies spanning classification, access controls, security, and metadata management across research, clinical, regulatory, and partner teams
• Enable secure, governed data access that supports advanced analytics, innovation, and external collaborations — while rigorously protecting confidential and patient-related information
• Identify gaps in existing data governance frameworks and implement improvements that align with regulatory expectations and scientific best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to align data standards, workflows, and quality controls

Who You Are

• Experienced in leading or implementing data governance programs within biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated data environments
• Deeply knowledgeable about data privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations for research and clinical trial data (e.g., FDA, GCP, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11)
• A skilled collaborator who can bring together scientists, engineers, compliance officers, and business teams around shared data standards
• Detail-oriented, systematic, and committed to data quality and integrity
• Comfortable working independently in an asynchronous, remote environment

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training data pipelines
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or FAIR data principles
• Experience with clinical data management systems or regulatory submission data packages
• Background in bioinformatics, health informatics, or a related technical discipline
