Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Associate Manufacturing professional for the Thousand Oaks Drug Substance plant. You will perform hands-on operations, prepare media and buffers, and monitor critical processes in a GMP environment.

The role requires flexibility for 12-hour day or night shifts and a background in manufacturing or related science. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance while supporting development, clinical, and commercial launch activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life sciences/engineering with manufacturing exposure.
• Associate’s degree plus 6 months of manufacturing experience or high school diploma with 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in GMP environments and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manufacturing operations in a 24/7 purification environment.
• Set-up, clean, sanitize and prepare media and buffers per SOPs.
• Monitor critical processes and perform routine validations.
• Draft and revise routine documents ( MPs, SOPs, reports).
• Identify and report quality incidents and deviations.
• Direct operators on critical processes and train staff as needed.
• Assist in review of equipment logs and batch records.
• Support safety initiatives and cross-functional teams.
