Job summary

LifeSci Capital, a research-driven investment bank focused on emerging life sciences companies, seeks an Associate to join its biotech equity research team in New York. You will work with analysts to evaluate drugs across oncology, immunology, neurology, and genetic medicine, while performing literature dissections, market analyses, and due diligence.

You will also contribute to producing sector-wide and company-specific research for investors and pursue FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 7, 86, 87) as

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate and disseminate complex scientific information to a variety of stakeholders
• Some prior Equity Research experience in the biotech industry

Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the biotechnology sector.
• Work directly with analysts to evaluate drugs in various therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, neurology, or genetic medicine.
• Dissect scientific literature, perform market analyses, and engage with leading physician-scientists and public company executives.
• Master the process of performing fundamental due diligence, modeling and valuation techniques, and communicating findings to biotech investors.
• Produce high-quality, sector-wide and company-specific equity research for the biotech industry and investment professionals.
• Obtain FINRA licenses SIE, Series 7, Series 86, and Series 87.

Education

Advanced degree in medical, scientific or biotech/biomed related fields (MD, PhD, MS)
