Job summary

eGenesis is seeking a hands-on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support workplace health and safety programs at our Northwest, Indiana location. The role involves partnering with the Director of EHS to implement programs, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and promote a proactive safety culture across GMP manufacturing, research labs, and animal care areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety/environmental health or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of occupational health and safety experience in regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing and improving EHS programs with the Director of EHS.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and reduce risk.
• Investigate incidents and help implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training across sites, including GMP manufacturing and labs.
• Create and revise SOPs for integration into Qualio/Veeva.
• Maintain EHS records, metrics, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
