Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Grad Intern Data Scientist for Summer 2027 in the Technology, AI & Data group. The role focuses on hands-on data analysis, statistical modeling, and data integration across multiple sources to enable scientific insights.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an MBA, Masters, PharmD, or PhD program and have experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization. Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Masters program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute and analyze data analysis and modeling projects from design to processing of data.
• Test new statistical analysis methods, software, and data sources for continual improvement of quantitative solutions.
• Develop new ways for scientists to utilize data from multiple sources.
• Develop automated capabilities to read unstructured data and convert it to structured content for analysis and modeling.
