Job summary

Strand Therapeutics is seeking an Associate, Corporate Development to join a small, high-impact team in Boston. Reporting to CFO, you will support corporate strategy, evaluate business opportunities, and drive value-creating initiatives.

As the founding member of Strand's Corporate Development function, you will help establish processes, build financial models, perform due diligence, and coordinate cross-functional deal execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin or related field; MBA/CFA preferred.
• 2-4 years in life sciences or related strategic/financial roles.
• Ability to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry assessments.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and evaluating business performance, risks, and growth drivers.
• Prior experience with due diligence and transaction execution is highly desirable.
• Strong project management and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive presentations.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data platform skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate external assets, technologies, and platforms for BD, licensing, partnerships, and growth.
• Support due diligence of licensing, collaboration, and other business opportunities.
• Assist long-range financial plans, valuation models, and scenario analyses.
• Build and maintain financial models for strategic opportunities and performance.
• Manage transaction execution activities and data rooms.
• Conduct market intelligence and monitor industry trends and M&A activity.
• Prepare presentations for executive leadership, Board, and investors.
• Lead special projects and strategic planning initiatives.
