Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a contracts specialist to draft, review, negotiate and file a high volume of routine and complex contracts supporting clinical development and clinical studies. The role requires strong legal knowledge, autonomy and the ability to collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with 6+ years of relevant experience or a Master's with 4+ years.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Biotech/Pharma industry experience, especially with clinical development contracts.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and present to partners.
• Ability to work independently within defined practices and policies.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and corporate matters.
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with CMS.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and file a high volume of routine contracts.
• Provide contract support for clinical studies, including clinical trial agreements and vendor/service agreements.
• Communicate risks to internal partners and mitigation strategies.
• Support administration of the contract management system (CMS).
• Assist in determining the necessary approach to contracts and ensuring protection of the company’s proprietary technology.
• Assist in approving financial requisitions on behalf of the Legal department.
• Research legal issues and provide support on assigned legal matters.
• Other duties as assigned.
