Job summary

Benchling seeks a content marketer for a focused five-month engagement to produce technical, persona- and modality-specific content that fuels our demand generation programs. You'll craft product briefs, case studies, white papers, gated guides, and product-focused blog posts, partnering with GTM stakeholders and using AI tooling to draft at scale.

This is a hands-on writing role for someone who can adapt tone and structure across formats and translate complex science.

Qualifications

4+ years in content marketing or writing role, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
Strong writing and editing skills; capable of adapting tone across formats.
Experience with AI content tools (AirOps or similar) or willingness to learn.
Familiarity with CMS Contentful, SEMrush, GA4 or similar marketing/SEO tools.
Nice-to-have: AEO exposure and life sciences/biotech background.
Comfortable as an embedded contractor collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Create/Update product briefs, case studies, and white papers to support Go-To-Market & Demand Generation.
Write persona- and modality-specific content across Development, Automation, In Vivo, PD, Biologics, and Chemistry lines.
Support customer story development with Sales/Field stakeholders.
Write select pieces from scratch, especially product-focused blog posts.
Work with AirOps to generate, edit, and refine AI-assisted drafts at scale.
Write and edit gated best-practice guides for a technical audience.
Refresh and update existing web content for SEO/AEO performance.
