Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Associate Director, R&D Process Development to lead biosurgery process development from lab through scale-up and transfer. The role is based in Raritan, NJ with a flexible hybrid schedule requiring on-site presence three days per week.

You will guide technology transfer, design experiments, and collaborate across Technical Operations, Regulatory, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver safe, compliant products. A PhD and 10+ years in process development are expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• 10+ years of experience in process development, process scale-up, and manufacturing transfer with strong engineering foundation is required.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end biosynthetic process development for medical devices from lab to manufacturing transfer.
• Develop scalable, robust manufacturing processes meeting scope, cost, quality and regulatory targets.
• Lead design of experiments and use statistical analysis to understand critical process parameters.
