Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Project & Portfolio Management, Biosurgery (PPMG) to lead a team of Project Heads across Biosurgery programs. The role focuses on cross-functional delivery, governance, and seamless execution from ideation to market launch in a complex medical device environment.

You will guide strategy, manage scope, time, and resources, and partner with R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality to meet ambitious development and market objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering innovation programs.
• PM experience with materials, biologics, or clinical focus.
• Understanding of global regulatory/clinical requirements of complex medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Manages Project Heads (PHs) supporting Biosurgery innovation programs.
• Responsible for all executional aspects of Biosurgery NPD programs.
• Accountable for program tracking, acceleration, and risk identification and mitigation.
• Raises concerns to the VP, Biosurgery R&D and/or Operating Committee to ensure issues are elevated.
• Owns input and operational expertise for management reviews and option assessment.
• Partners with leadership to form goals aligned to platform initiatives and reporting.
• Leads governance, meeting cadence, and consistent decision making across Biosurgery.
• Monitors action items and ensures progress against commitments.
• Escalates challenges across functions and secures trade-off decisions.
• Collaborates to foster empowerment, urgency, accountability, and results.
• Communicates effectively with all levels, including executives.
• Leads portfolio reviews and raises visibility of key projects.
• Engages teams early to socialize value propositions of programs and products.
• Ensures alignment with Biosurgery platform and portfolio strategies.
