Job summary

Amgen seeks a Grad Intern in Biostatistics for Summer 2027. The program spans 10–13 weeks with meaningful project experiences, executive/social networking events, and opportunities to engage in community volunteering.

You will work closely with a senior statistician on trial design and analysis, contributing to oncology, nephrology, and other therapeutic areas. Eligibility includes full-time enrollment in an accredited program and location in the United States for the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
• Proficiency in SAS or R on either a UNIX or NT platform.
• Ability to lead and deliver results in an interactive matrixed environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, relationship building, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work with a senior statistician on the design and analysis of clinical trials.
• Contribute to nonclinical research topics as needed.
• Present a summary of work at internship conclusion.
