Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, seeks a Data Analytics Specialist to support epidemiology research with advanced data analysis, data management, and data presentation, enabling rigorous scientific insights across the cancer continuum.

You will work with complex datasets, apply biostatistical methods in R and Python, collaborate with researchers and stakeholders, and translate data into actionable insights that drive publications, grant submissions, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Master's degree preferred in related field.
Five years of data analysis experience; three years with a Master's degree.
Strong biostatistics background or biostatistician experience; R proficiency desirable.
Genomics and biomedical research background is a plus.

Responsibilities

Use data throughout the data pipeline, including data mining, data management, statistical analysis, and data presentation.
Prepare raw data for storage, integration, and analysis.
Create data visualizations and presentations that communicate findings effectively.
Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to support objectives.
Provide analytical support for publications, grants, and reports.
Apply biostatistical knowledge to epidemiological research activities.
Utilize R and Python to support data analysis and research initiatives.
