Job summary

Cryoport Systems, a leading name in temperature-controlled life sciences logistics, is seeking an Operations Manager - BioServices in Houston. You will oversee all bioservices operations, ensure GMP compliance, manage staff, and coordinate with program managers to meet project deadlines.

The role involves overseeing kit production, labeling, SOP updates, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Prior GMP experience and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of GMP/GxP experience.
• Minimum 1 year of manager experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with biological/pharmaceutical materials.
• Experience in clinical packaging and labeling is desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality of daily operations; oversee inventory system operations.
• Coordinate with program managers, customer service, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate project-related information in a timely and comprehensive manner.
• Ensure activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSE).
• Complete document reviews (batch records, receipts, shipments) accurately per SOPs.
• Develop, revise, and assist in writing SOPs, work Instructions, deviations, and change controls.
• Maintain current GMP/Safety training for the team.
• Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, on-call coverage, payroll, and hiring.
• Assist with QA tasks such as verification, validation, and calibration.
