Job summary

Colorado State University seeks an IBC/IRE Coordinator to support institutional compliance with federal regulations by assisting the Institutional Biosafety Committee and the Institutional Review Entity. You will help communicate regulatory concepts to researchers and staff handling biohazardous materials.

The role focuses on accurate record-keeping, helping meetings run smoothly, and guiding researchers through determinations and corrective actions while upholding CSU policies for ethical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 2+ years in regulatory compliance, research administration, scientific research, or laboratory management.

Responsibilities

  • Review IBC and IRE submissions for accuracy and contact PIs when deficiencies are found.
  • Assist in training new IBC and IRE members on roles, processes, policies and guidelines.
  • Perform support functions for the IBC and IRE.
  • Attend meetings to help record minutes and assist in post‑meeting actions and communications.
  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic records accessible upon request.
  • Maintain professional relationships with investigators and staff.
