Job summary

Certis Biologicals in Wasco, CA seeks a Pilot Plant Operator to provide technical and operational support for manufacturing and bioprocessing across production, lab and pilot-scale areas. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of fermentation, formulation, spray drying, and utilities systems, with hands-on troubleshooting and training of staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in a plant-level fermentation/manufacturing environment.
• Extensive experience supporting bioprocessing operations (fermentation, formulation, spray drying, utilities).
• Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operator training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of bioprocessing equipment.
• Lead preventive maintenance and inspections; manage work orders.
• Train production personnel and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Support process improvements and scale-up activities.
