Job summary

Century Therapeutics is seeking an Engineer to develop, characterize, implement, and support next-generation iPSC-derived cell therapies. You will culture, differentiate, and characterize iPSCs and their effector derivatives, design development studies, and analyze data across internal and external teams.

The role requires strong scientific background, effective communication, and collaboration across groups; it is on-site, five days per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS in biology, cell engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on mammalian cell culture and bioreactor processing experience.
• Familiarity with iPSC differentiation and beta-cell biology.
• Understanding of regulatory concepts like cGMP and GLP.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality cell culture and differentiation experiments with accuracy and reproducibility.
• Design and run bioreactor studies to assess process parameters and scale-up impact.
• Perform and analyze flow cytometry assays; present data to guide decisions.
• Analyze process/product data to relate parameters to outcomes and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Drug Product Development, Analytical Development, MSAT, Quality, and other teams.
• Maintain ELNs with detailed procedures, observations, and conclusions.
• Stay current with iPSC biology, beta-cell differentiation, bioreactor processing, and scale-up literature.
• Author/review CMC documents for IND/BLA in collaboration with others.
• Foster a collaborative and scientifically rigorous team culture.
