Job summary

Sumitomo Biorational Company in Osage, IA invites applications for a Process Engineer Intern. You will learn and support fermentation, recovery, and formulation processes while collaborating with R&D and Production teams to evaluate methods and transfer lab success to production.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support safety and environmental training policies and programs.
• Track and trend yield and quality data for each batch to identify variation and suggest improvements.
• Chart, track and analyze production data to propose lean manufacturing projects.
• Identify and implement practical solutions to improve fermentation, recovery and formulation processes.
• Write, update and maintain production master batch records, work instructions and SOPs.
• Assist production with troubleshooting and CAPA investigations.
