Job summary

Amgen Cambridge is seeking a Process Development Associate to contribute to Drug Substance development for late-stage biologics. You will design and execute bench-scale experiments spanning cell culture to purification, with a focus on improving yield and robustness across upstream and downstream operations.

The role offers exposure to diverse modalities and collaboration with a dynamic team, reporting to a Process Development Principal Scientist.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cell culture and purification workflows.
• Experience performing small-scale bioprocess experiments (upstream and downstream).
• Ability to apply scientific/engineering principles to solve process problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration in diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end Drug Substance process development for late-stage programs.
• Design and perform bench-scale experiments spanning culture to purification.
• Assist in technology transfer and documentation for regulatory filings.
• Support data interpretation and provide oral/written project updates.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve yield and robustness of processes.
• Maintain compliance with GMP and safety standards.
