Bioprocess Applications Engineer - Biopharma (Solventum)

We are pleased to announce that Solventum has entered into a definitive agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, regulatory approvals, and country-specific requirements. This milestone will enable strategic investments for growth and customer solutions. During this transition, you will work with a dedicated team navigating this change. Until then, Solventum will operate as a unified entity, and employment is subject to our existing terms and policies.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role:

As a Bioprocess Applications Engineer, you will collaborate with innovative teams to improve manufacturing processes for lifesaving medicines. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and executing experiments from lab to manufacturing scale, analyzing data to optimize processes
• Providing support, guidance, and training to clients
• Building technical relationships with customers
• Representing customer needs within Solventum to support sales, marketing, and product development
• Developing expertise in bioprocessing through industry collaborations and publications

This role can be adapted for varying experience levels.

Your Skills and Expertise:

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or higher in Science or Engineering
• At least 2 years of bioprocess development or manufacturing experience
• Experience in customer support or vendor management
• Knowledge of analytical methods (HPLC, ELISA, PCR, DLS)
• Understanding of purification processes in biopharmaceuticals

Additional qualifications that are a plus:

• Ph.D. in relevant fields
• Support experience in biopharmaceuticals, including scale-up and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of protein purification, filtration, and process economics
• Experience with FDA processes and advanced modalities like gene and cell therapy

Work Location and Travel:

Remote work in NC, MD, PA, NJ. Travel up to 40% domestically, with some international travel possible. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Compensation and Benefits:
