ABEC Inc. is seeking a Service Engineer Intern to support the Service Engineering team in troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and documentation within the biopharmaceutical bioprocess industry.

The role offers exposure to field service operations, equipment performance evaluations, and improvement initiatives, with opportunities to lead projects and present results to leadership. This on-site internship emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university (Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, Data Analytics).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with spreadsheets or tracking tools (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar).
• Ability to analyze workflows and recommend improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Support service documentation, reports, and technical records.
• Analyze equipment performance data and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer and project needs.
• Participate in technical investigations and problem-solving efforts.
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead or support up to three internship projects focused on improving service processes, equipment reliability, or operational efficiency.
• Present project results and recommendations to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
