Job summary

Ideal Innovations, Inc. in Bethesda, MD seeks a Biometrics Software Engineer to integrate fingerprint, facial recognition, and iris scanning into existing systems using Java, Spring, C2S, and DevOps practices.

You will connect biometric capture with applications and third-party APIs/SDKs while ensuring secure data handling and compliant storage in a cloud-friendly environment. An active TS/SCI with CI polygraph is required, with a Bachelor’s (12+ years) or Master’s (10+ years) in relevant fields.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years or Master's with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience integrating biometric modalities and third-party APIs/SDKs.
• Security protocols for handling sensitive biometric data.
• Expert with Java, Spring, C2S, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices.

Responsibilities

• Integrate fingerprint, facial recognition, and iris scanning into existing software systems and applications.
• Integrate biometric systems, including IDEMIA MBSS, with applications and platforms used to capture and process biometric data.
• Develop and support software integrations using Java, Spring, C2S, third-party APIs, and SDKs.
• Support the storage and management of biometric data using applicable database technologies and security best practices.
• Participate throughout the software development lifecycle within an Agile/DevOps development environment.
