Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Biometric Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Washington, DC to lead applied RDT&E of advanced biometric and identity solutions for national security clients. Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote, with opportunity to support major government programs and mission-critical biometrics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
• 5+ years of experience in RDT&E, identity, biometrics, or systems engineering.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship (Top Secret preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Expertise in biometric (facial, iris, fingerprint recognition) and identity technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level expertise in biometrics, identity technologies, and digital identity solutions.
• Translate client mission needs into research, development, test, and evaluation plans for biometric and identity technologies.
• Coordinate across technical, programmatic, and government stakeholders to support planning and decision-making.
• Develop and deliver high-quality technical documentation, briefings, and actionable recommendations.
