Job summary

eHealthScreenings, a Premise Health Company, seeks Health Screeners to join our team in Norfolk, VA. These are as-needed, event-based roles performing biometric screenings at local company sites, with a focus on accuracy, patient care, and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, some phlebotomy experience, and can work morning events Mon–Fri. We offer competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and a fast-paced, team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current national Phlebotomy certification or accredited program with externship.
• Over 100 fingersticks in last year or 200 venipunctures in last 6 months.
• Active state Phlebotomy certification for NV/CA/WA/LA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record biometric testing results (height, weight, BP, BMI).
• Conduct fingerstick and venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced setting.
• Prepare specimens for storage or processing.
• Set up and break down portable biometric stations.
• Transport supplies to events (up to 20 lbs).
• Maintain laboratory logs and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Must have morning availability for event-based work.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking Health Screeners to join our team in Norfolk, VA.

eHealthScreenings, a Premise Health Company, specializes in national biometric screenings and we have exciting opportunities for Mobile Phlebotomists and Health Screeners.

About the role: These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.

What would make you successful in this role? Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
• Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
• Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA

Experience

• 1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferred
