Job summary

UW Health SwedishAmerican in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician for a full-time 7am–3:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday at University Health's hospital campus. The role requires a degree or equivalent experience and involves working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, and mechanical equipment.

AAMI certification is preferred, with excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Two years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• 1 year experience working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Two (2) years of related experience would be considered in lieu of degree in addition to experience below. Required

Work Experience

• 1 year experience working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment. Required
• 2 years previous experience as Biomedical Engineering Technician or electronics related technical field experience. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Preferred
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence. Required
