Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL, seeks a Biomedical Engineering Technician to maintain medical equipment and support clinical engineering.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; two years of related experience may substitute for degree.
• 1 year experience with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment required.
• 2 years experience as Biomedical Engineering Technician or similar preferred.
• AAMI certification preferred; valid driver's license required.

Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30 pm, you will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E State St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Two (2) years of related experience would be considered in lieu of degree in addition to experience below. Required

Work Experience

• 1 year experience working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment. Required
• 2 years previous experience as Biomedical Engineering Technician or electronics related technical field experience. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Preferred
• Must possess a current, valid driver's license issued by the individual's state of residence. Required
