Job summary

Trimedx, onsite at UPMC-Trinity Hospital, seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment, ensuring safety, accuracy, and readiness when clinicians need it.

You’ll guide clinicians on safe device use, maintain meticulous documentation, and strengthen inventory control and compliance. The role requires a minimum of three years in clinical engineering with electronics expertise and a technical degree or TRIMEDX certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering environment.
  • Strong technical skills in systems, diagnostics, hardware repair, and error code interpretation.
  • Associate degree in electronics/technical field or equivalent experience; TRIMEDX certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is safe, accurate, and ready when clinicians need it.
  • Guide clinicians on safe, effective equipment use and maintain compliant documentation.
  • Strengthen operations through accurate documentation, compliance, and smart inventory control.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the performance, repair, and calibration of complex clinical equipment-keeping care uninterrupted
  • Ensure critical medical equipment is safe, accurate, and ready when clinicians need it.
  • Guide clinicians on safe, effective equipment use
  • Strengthen operations through accurate documentation, compliance, and smart inventory control

What You’ll Need
  • Minimum 3 years of biomedical equipment experience in a clinical engineering environment

  • CBET Certification preferred
