Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Biomedical Technician I to perform semi-routine repair, maintenance, and operational checks on dialysis and water treatment equipment. You will ensure patient safety and staff readiness under supervision, following company policies and industry standards.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, relevant biomedical training, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of Biomedical Technician Education Curriculum and Practicum is required.
Associate or Bachelor degree in electronics/biomedical technology preferred.
Specialized certifications are preferred (BON, CHT, NNCO, CBNT, WQA WTS, AAMI, CBET).

Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance of water treatment, dialysis, ancillary equipment, test equipment, and the physical plant as required and recommended by the manufacturer and company policy.
Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance with approved vendors.
Oversee maintenance of ancillary devices per manufacturer recommendations and regulations.
Act as equipment troubleshooting resource and recommend resolutions.
Perform water/dialysate sample collection and report quality results.
Document all repair and maintenance activities.
Support regulatory compliance and CQI/QAI processes and document outcomes.
