Job summary

Agiliti in San Diego, CA seeks a Biomedical Services Supervisor to lead an onsite clinical engineering team supporting Palomar Health. You will guide technicians, manage workflows, and ensure equipment readiness across patient care areas.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology, at least 3 years of BMET experience, and strong diagnostics, schematics reading, and calibration skills. On-call rotation and budget management are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of biomedical equipment experience.
• Experience reading circuit diagrams and mechanical schematics and troubleshooting on electronic/medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of biomedical equipment technicians.

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and calibrate medical equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support a team of biomedical equipment technicians
• Organize workloads and help ensure efficient day-to-day operations
• Provide technical training and development to team members
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and calibrate medical equipment
• Support preventive maintenance and quality assurance activities
• Assist with evaluating new medical equipment and its conformance to applicable standards
• Maintain equipment inventory, service records and documentation
• Support hazard identification and medical device reporting procedures
• Partner with hospital personnel and provide guidance on safe equipment operation
• Manage operational budgets and resources
• Participate in an on-call rotation when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology or an equivalent technical program
• At least 3 years of biomedical equipment experience
• Experience with electronic and mechanical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic and patient-monitoring equipment
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and mechanical schematics
• Familiarity with applicable healthcare equipment regulations, standards and quality practices
• Experience using biomedical test equipment, including electrical safety analyzers, digital multimeters and patient simulators
• Flexibility to support business needs
