Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an HTM Technician in Southaven, Mississippi to maintain biomedical and laboratory equipment and support a new lab launch. The role requires traveling for vendor training domestically and internationally, including Europe within the first year, and may involve on-call duties.

Must have relevant degree and experience in biomedical/electrical/mechatronics fields. The position is on-site with 80-hour pay periods and 100% on-site expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Electronics/Healthcare Technology Management or related field with 3 years of experience; or an Associate degree with 5 years of experience; or military training with 5 years of experience.
• Laboratory or research roles require an associate degree or higher with at least 5 years supporting laboratory equipment.
• Experience with basic lab equipment and high- complexity instruments is preferred.
• Vendor-specific training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Support formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory.
• Travel domestically and internationally for vendor training (Europe within first year up to 3 weeks).
• Maintain medical and laboratory equipment per Mayo Clinic plan, including installation, calibration, and repair.
• Prioritize service calls, adhere to policy, and provide excellent customer service.
• On-call and overtime may be required and travel to Mayo Clinic sites as needed.

U.S. Military training in biomedical electronics, mechatronics, or engineering

Laboratory or research associate degree with 5+ years equipment support experience

Tools
