Job summary

The University of Iowa's ICTS Biomedical Informatics team is hiring an Application Developer to design, build, and support REDCap-based data collection systems for research projects. You will translate study requirements into scalable database designs and application specifications, configure REDCap surveys and forms, and implement logic for validation, branching, and automation.

You will collaborate with investigators, research staff, and cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in research database development and data capture in an academic health care environment.
• Experience with REDCap, Qualtrics, and electronic data capture systems such as e-Consent tools.

Responsibilities

• Consult with investigators to define functional and technical requirements for data collection systems.
• Translate study protocols into database designs and application specifications.
• Configure REDCap applications including surveys, forms, and data collection instruments.
• Develop application logic with branching, validation rules, and automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot REDCap databases and data workflows to resolve issues.
