Job summary

InterMed is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to independently repair and perform preventative maintenance on hospital biomedical equipment. The role involves maintaining records, coordinating with outside resources, and ensuring timely response to meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has a two-year electronics degree or equivalent military experience, 1–4 years in the field, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree from an accredited school in electronics or equivalent military experience.
• One to four years’ experience preferred or greater.
• Completed internship with accredited program.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Must have good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and calibrations to biomedical equipment and maintains associated records.
• Solves problems using analytical thinking and coordinates with internal/external resources.
• Assists other personnel as required.
• Interacts with vendors and researches resources and suppliers.
• Follows facility and company policy and maintains a neat work area.
• Conducts professional interactions with staff and customers.
