The Sheridan VA Health Care System is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) to join our on-site team in Sheridan, WY. You will install, maintain, calibrate, and repair diverse medical devices used in patient care, performing preventive maintenance and documenting service activities.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with medical equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of electrical safety standards.

Formación

• Must be able to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals and documentation for medical/electronic equipment.
• Hands-on experience with medical equipment including installation, calibration and performance verification.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices in healthcare, including risk assessment and compliance.
• Background in biomedical engineering or biomedical technology, or equivalent practical experience supporting clinical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical/electronic/software issues.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair a variety of medical equipment used in patient care settings.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, document service activities, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to address equipment issues and respond to service calls; assist with acceptance testing and inventory management.
