Job summary

The Truman VA facility, part of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) to support the Healthcare Technology Management program. You will troubleshoot and perform planned maintenance on medical devices and clinical systems within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Basic requirements include U.S. citizenship and English proficiency.
Education options cover biomedical tech/engineering or electronics/IT with experience.
Certifications such as CBET/CLES/CHTM are desirable but not required.
Experience with CMMS documentation and equipment maintenance is expected.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot medical equipment and clinical systems.
Perform planned maintenance on a range of devices.
Support the HTM program and equipment management.
Document services in a CMMS and manage technical data.
