Job summary

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) 2 to inspect, calibrate, repair, and maintain a range of medical equipment including surgical devices, patient monitors, defibrillators, EKGs, and centrifuges.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety standards. You will work with the HTM/Clinical Engineering team, assist with in-service training, and support both on-site and off-site programs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or DOD Certification or experience in lieu of degree.
• 2 years relevant experience in biomedical equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate, repair, and maintain a diverse range of biomedical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document service activities.
• Interpret service manuals and schematics to perform planned maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance with vendors and close work orders.
• Document all service events and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Provide unscheduled repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Collaborate with HTM/Clinical Engineering team on projects.
• Participate in on-site/off-site training and assist with in-service education.
