Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Bio Medical Technician - II to join our BMET team at the Hospital—Brooklyn campus. Under supervision, you will install, inspect, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance of electrical, electronic and pneumatic patient-care equipment across Critical Care areas including ORs, Cath Labs, ICUs, ER, and PACUs.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Biomedical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of medical equipment repair experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering/Technology and CBET certification.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, calibrates, and performs preventive maintenance on medical instrumentation throughout the Medical Center.
• Troubleshoots and repairs devices in Critical Care areas including ORs, Cath Labs, ICUs, ER, PACUs.
• Performs PM, calibration, and functional checks per manufacturers' specs.
• Records service data in the medical equipment database and communicates issues to management.
• Attends required training and performs other related duties as assigned.
