Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is seeking a Bio Medical Technician - II to join our team. Under supervision, you will install, inspect, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of critical medical instrumentation throughout the Medical Center.

You will troubleshoot and repair devices such as patient monitors, defibrillators, telemetry systems, and ESUs, ensuring safe operation and compliance

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Biomedical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of medical equipment repair experience.
• CBET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Services and repairs patient care, diagnostic, monitoring, and therapeutic instruments.
• Responds to service calls and ensures equipment is safe to use.
• Performs preventive maintenance and calibration per manufacturer specs.
• Installs medical equipment with user departments and facilities.
• Documents work in medical equipment database and notifies supervisor.
