Job summary

Intelas, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Biomedical Technician in St. Augustine, FL to perform maintenance and safety inspections on a wide range of patient care equipment.

You will manage service schedules, assist with PM procedures, and ensure calibration of test equipment to support uptime. Responsibilities include rapid on-site response to clinical issues, part orders within budget, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to be on-call and respond to service calls.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on biomedical equipment.
• Manages equipment and schedules service.
• Performs pre-acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures.
• Ensures test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Responds to clinical calls to evaluate and rectify issues.
• Researches and initiates orders for repair parts within budget guidelines.
• Maintains logs, validates invoices, and provides training as needed.
• Collaborates with colleagues and contributes to quality improvement efforts.
