St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY is hiring a Clinical Engineer Tech I to join the Edgewood Clinical Engineering Team. This full-time role entails preventive and corrective maintenance of medical devices used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, ensuring safety and reliability in patient care.

Responsibilities include testing, documentation, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clinical staff. On-call rotation is required.

Formación

• Basic computer skills required.
• Associate degree in Biomedical Electronics Technology or military equivalent or high school diploma with 6 months of medical equipment experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform timely corrective and preventative maintenance and QA on clinical equipment used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Develop and implement equipment testing procedures and test new devices/equipment.
• Document service events in the CE database and maintain manuals per the Medical Equipment Management Plan.
• Collaborate with medical staff to address routine and non-routine technical problems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to promote safety.
• Work with contractors to install new clinical/diagnostic/therapeutic equipment, ensuring controlled projects.
• Instruct clinical staff on safety and operation of patient-care instruments.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours calls.
