Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital is seeking an entry-level Clinical Engineering Tech I to support maintenance, calibration, and repair of a limited scope of medical equipment. The role requires basic troubleshooting, CMMS documentation, and adherence to PHI confidentiality.

Work involves installation, preventive maintenance, and collaboration across hospital environments, with on-call duties and a 40-hour workweek in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with Medical Equipment or maintaining / repairing equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated ability to follow protocols and processes relating to equipment maintenance.
• Two years of experience in clinical engineering or an equivalent field is preferred.
• Associate of Applied Science Degree or completion of a Biomedical Technician Certificate Course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of medical equipment, human anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and repair techniques to perform equipment repairs.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance procedures on low/medium risk medical equipment.
• Possess the skill to utilize tools and test equipment required for job duties and responsibilities
• Adherence to confidentiality requirements and safeguarding of protected health information (PHI).
• Competent in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for documentation.
• Basic understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to medical equipment management.
