Job summary

Veterans Engineering is seeking a dedicated Biomedical Technician/Engineering Support Specialist III to join our team. You will provide advanced biomedical engineering support to healthcare facilities, ensuring all medical equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

This role requires troubleshooting complex devices, preventive maintenance, and staff training to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hospital or healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment.
• Two-year associate degree or higher in applied science or equivalent military training.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and periodic inspections of medical equipment.
• Conduct QA checks against manufacturer specifications.
• Install, calibrate, and test medical equipment per literature and authorization.
• Manage inventory and asset documentation per VA processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Document activities in VA electronic systems per standards.
