Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years with biomedical or medical equipment in hospital/healthcare setting; CBET preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on biomedical and clinical equipment per schedules and manufacturer specs.
• Conduct testing, calibration, and safety checks to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on a wide range of medical and laboratory equipment.
• Inspect, evaluate, and document equipment condition and service outcomes.
• Maintain CMMS documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new biomedical equipment.
• Respond to service requests and prioritize based on urgency and operational needs.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to identify issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide basic user education on proper equipment usage.
• Comply with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
