Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 for PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital located in Los Angeles, CA.

The main role of the Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 is to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, strong technical skills, and a commitment to deliver excellent repair service expediently.

Working in Healthcare Technology Management for Sodexo, you will partner with our healthcare clients to manage their clinical technology needs, providing leadership and expertise to improve the quality of life for patients, residents, and staff.

What You'll Do

Position Summary: Under supervision, inspects, repairs, maintains, and calibrates clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a broad range of clinical inventory devices. Participates in on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate clinical equipment.
• Provide support for equipment used in direct patient care.
• Interact with clinical providers to identify technology issues and solutions.
• Address customer service issues and complaints.
• Prepare documentation and reports.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle purchasing of parts and services responsibly.
• Maintain a safety-conscious mindset.

What You Bring

• At least 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices independently.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair medical devices.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
• Experience repairing clinical devices such as ESUs, vital sign machines, defibrillators, telemetry, EKG, infusion pumps, patient monitoring systems, OR equipment, and ventilators.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience in electronic, biomedical engineering, or related field.

Minimum Experience: 3 years in electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical repair in healthcare technology.
