Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 for MLK Community Healthcare located in Los Angeles, CA.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate a range of clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.
  • Provide support for equipment used in direct patient care.
  • Interact with clinical staff to identify technology issues and solutions.
  • Address customer service issues and complaints.
  • Prepare documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage purchasing of parts and services financially.
  • Maintain a safety-focused mindset.

What You Bring
  • At least 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices independently.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Decision-making skills for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Experience with clinical devices such as ESUs, vital sign monitors, defibrillators, telemetry, EKG, infusion pumps, patient monitoring systems, OR equipment, and ventilators (not all required).
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field.

Minimum experience: 3 years in electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical repair in a healthcare technology environment.
