About this role:

As a Biomedical Technician with Fresenius Medical Care, you will maintain and repair medical and water treatment equipment within our kidney care clinics. You will also train and educate colleagues on operational maintenance of our dialysis machines to ensure the safety of our dialysis patients, as well as manage the medical supplies required.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair dialysis and related equipment.
• Ensure the physical plant and water systems operate correctly, including sampling and trend analysis.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with vendors and clinical staff to ensure compliance and safety.
• Participate in training and regulatory meetings, and provide after-hours on-call support as needed.

Education and credentials:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Associate Degree in electronics/biomedical technology preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Completion of Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months of hire.

Experience and skills:

• Qualities: collaborative, independent, analytical, mechanical, self-motivated.
• Less than 1-year related experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity and good communication skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments.

Physical demands and working conditions:

• Active work involving lifting, bending, walking, standing.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, infectious materials, and high voltage.
• Requires passing Ishihara color blindness test; accommodations considered.
• Work may include outdoor elements and irregular hours.
