Job summary

South Texas Specialty Hospital, part of United Surgical Partners International, seeks a Biomed Tech to oversee medical equipment inventory and ensure equipment safety and performance in patient care. You will monitor functionality, ensure regulatory compliance, and report to relevant committees.

The role requires at least five years of biomedical inventory management experience, an associate degree in biomedical electronics or equivalent, and professional certifications (ICC CMEt/CRES/CLES)

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of responsible experience managing a Biomedical inventory, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Associate's degree in biomedical Electronics (or similar electronics degree), or Military/ Technical Certificate in Biomedical Electronics.
• Certification by ICC, CMEt, CRES, and/or CLES is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all medical equipment owned and used.
• Ensure equipment functions according to manufacturer parameters and is safe for patient use.
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to equipment and report to relevant committees.
