South Texas Specialty Hospital in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Full Time Biomed Tech to oversee all medical equipment, ensure functionality to manufacturer specifications, and maintain patient safety. The Biomed Tech ensures regulatory compliance and reports to relevant committees.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in biomedical inventory management and an Associate’s degree in biomedical electronics. Certifications (ICC CMEt, CRES, CLES) are preferred.
We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine.
The Full Time Biomed Tech has oversight of all medical equipment owned and used. The Biomed Tech ensures all equipment functions with manufacturer-described parameters to ensure the equipment is safe for patient use and functions in the intended manner. The Biomed Tech ensures regulatory compliance in relation to the equipment and regularly reports to relevant committees.
