Job summary

Judge Group, Inc. seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician III for a 4-month contract in Philadelphia. The role pays $30.00–$40.00 per hour and involves maintaining and servicing medical devices within clinical engineering operations.

The technician will perform QA inspections, manage preventive maintenance, train staff, and help with equipment planning, installation, and regulatory compliance. A high school diploma and 6–10 years’ experience are required; a DoD/AS degree or AAMI certification is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
• Valid driver’s license.
• DoD certified program or AS degree preferred.
• AAMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, calibrate and modify patient care medical devices.
• Perform quality assurance inspections per codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain vendor-recommended preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain a cost-effective inventory of replacement materials.
• Maintain service and calibration documentation in accordance with laws and standards.
• Assist with training of clinical personnel on user operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Recommend outside service personnel when required.
• Provide technical training to BMETs on device operation and maintenance.
• Attend service/seminars to enhance skill level and reduce costs post warranty.
• Assist with equipment planning, pre-purchase evaluations.
• Assist with acceptance inspections, relocation, and installation of new equipment.
