Job summary

Trinity Health / CE team is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform planned maintenance, safety testing, repairs and installations on diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. You will work under the Clinical Engineering Manager in a hospital setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance experience with medical equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to coordinate parts and service with clinical staff. Travel and on-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military equivalence in medical electronics or related field.
• 1–2 years of PM/CM on medical equipment per policy.
• Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Able to use hand tools and test equipment relevant to the field.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, FDA regulations for clinical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM procedures on various clinical equipment following manufacturers' recommendations and standards.
• Diagnose problems and document results to meet regulatory requirements.
• Communicate repair status to users and CE management; coordinate with staff to minimize disruption.
• Order parts as needed and submit parts requests per policy.
• Maintain documentation for maintenance work orders and safety compliance.
• Provide on-call service coverage on a rotating basis.
