Job summary

Ventura County Health Care Agency seeks a certified Biomedical Equipment Technician to service biomedical, electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical patient care equipment across Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital. Under minimal supervision, you will perform safety inspections, maintenance, calibration and repairs to meet manufacturers' specifications.

Open to candidates with 3 years biomedical experience with AS Electronics, 2 years with AS Biomedical Electronics, or 4

Qualifications

Three years biomedical experience with AS Electronics OR two years with AS Biomedical Electronics OR four years biomedical experience with BME certificate.
Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.
Must hold AAMI Certification.
Willing to work at Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical safety checks and inspections on biomedical devices and maintain CMMS records.
Determine, analyze and isolate equipment for service, preventive maintenance and repair.
Inspect equipment for deterioration, malfunctions and compliance with specifications.
Maintain quality control and preventive maintenance program.
Repair, calibrate and service equipment including life support devices.
Instruct users on proper use and safety practices.
Review schematics, blueprints and regulations for compliance.
Supervise as necessary and perform related duties.
