Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital seeks a BMET support role to assist technicians with testing, maintenance, and repairs of general patient care equipment. You will handle inventory, reporting on safety checks, and procurement support within the department.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s in Biomedical Technology preferred) and 0–1 year related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or Associate’s Degree Biomedical Technology preferred.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment records and inventory.
• Coordinate and complete repair/maintenance with vendors.
• Document work performed, inventories and histories.
• Update inventory/control systems for department equipment.
• Assist BMET Techs with maintenance and repair of clinical/electromechanical equipment.
• Process requisitions and purchase orders for external service/parts.
• Coordinate logistics for vendor service, depot repair, and equipment moves.
• Manage service/parts inventory and par levels.
